I visited the Boston area in June, 2008, and took these at Revere's main station. A retired firefighter's funeral processed past the station.

From the "always have your camera ready" department, I caught these as my flight was leaving the Savannah, GA airport in 2005.

A house of 900s in Asheville, NC, circa 1966, the first with electronic sirens. No subsequent rigs would be gasoline-powered or have open cabs. The engine on the left & the aerial were converted to diesel/automatic & grew a roof. All were superceded by ALF's Pioneer I's, II's & III's, a Spartan II, a C-Ford & a Century Snorkel. Then came a mixture of most everything else. There would also be only two more Pontiacs before Dodges 'n Chevrolets showed up. The house was built in 1924 & underwent a $14-million renovation in '05. The goofiness in the middle is tape. Photo by the late Juanita Wilson.

This photo was taken at the Albany(NY) County Airport and show apparatus from various Town of Colonie fire departments that would respond to an aircraft crash at the airport.

In the last row the airport crash units are pictured. To the left of the crash truck is a Jeep that was lettered for Albany Fire Department Engine 12. This rig was stationed at the airport, which is located in the Town of Colonie, but never staffed by city firefighters.

Just read artical today they are closing one or two companies due to budget cuts layoffs and are demoting captains and lieutenants. Sad state of affairs in Elyria. I feel bad for our brothers.
