(This is the Brighton in Monroe County, not to be confused with the Brighton Fire Dept in Erie County (outside Buffalo), which I think is in the Town of Hamburg.) The Brighton in Monroe County was a loyal Mack customer for decades, having an E Model Quad, at least 1 B Model Pumper, a pair of C Model Pumpers and a C Model Ladder, and the CF Pumper....... If it is the old Brighton truck would have been originally all red......their first red and white truck is the new Quint they got a few years ago. John in Rochester NY.... It was a 1980, 1000-500, and it was sold to a department in North Carolina. It was lettered as Engine 3, and the department that purchased it also assigned it to their Engine 3. I havve the Mack # and if you can get this Mack's number, we can compare. Ron Empire State Oldies - e290l103 - 06-10-2008 For Comparison, I have slides of 3 Brighton CF pumpers, the 4th one I have is of their tower. the one above doesn't match any of them. none are my images. first up. 1969 CF611F10-1102 Tonawanda, New York NY E1 1000/500 Mack CF Empire State Oldies - e290l103 - 06-10-2008 next. 1974 CF611F10-1691 Tonawanda, New York NY E2 1000/500 Mack CF Empire State Oldies - e290l103 - 06-10-2008 next two are the same rig, original red, and then repainted. 1981 CF611F10-2159 Tonawanda, New York NY E3 1000/500 Mack CF Empire State Oldies - e290l103 - 06-10-2008 ok, after re-reading LFDJohn's post, I see that these are the Brighton near Buffalo! still they're nice rigs! |
