Chicago Fire Department - hp1530 - 01-09-2008
Here's a more current shot of it. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> http://www.ericksontrucks.com/inventory/sp...eet/?ID=1600203
Poor Mack is such a decrepit state. Price isn't bad. I'm just wondering if it can be saved from the crusher. Chicago Fire Department - GA_Dave - 01-10-2008 I'd say that one is a goner. After retiring it from duty as Snorkel Squad 1, the CFD turned it over to the Department of Public Works. It was used to wash out salt spreader trucks. On one of my trips to Chicago (1990+1995), I happened to see it as I passed by one of the DPW yards. I was unable to get a photo, but it was looking pretty rough then. Most likely the blue paint is the only thing holding the rust together! Chicago Fire Department - jma02 - 01-13-2008 This was from a buff trip to Chicago in the mid 1990's Chicago Fire Department - jma02 - 01-13-2008 Squad 2A on a scene from same trip. Chicago Fire Department - jma02 - 01-13-2008 Tower ladder 14 in the house on the same trip. Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 01-14-2008 nice shots - love the black over red, of course EVERYONE now has that though, my company included (backdraft wannabes) Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 05-30-2008 They had a big demo at the fire alarm office today and I was able to get some rigs...some may be off topic but I still think it fits First is the new generation of command vans...271 Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 05-30-2008 satellite dish and camera deployed Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 05-30-2008 Poor shot of the new collapse unit Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 05-30-2008 decon rig Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 05-30-2008 Rear view of 530 Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 05-30-2008 Inside 271 Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 05-30-2008 CPD Armored personnel carrier Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 05-30-2008 CPD SWAT Hazmat Rig Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 05-30-2008 This one I'm not sure of.... Rust away B. are dismanteled for parts Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 05-30-2008 The new command vans are a big step up from the old "buses"!
