SFD L1 was using a spare once again today. This time, L10's old rig, a 1994 Simon Duplex LTI, shop number 5337

While taking a quick tour of the Port of Seattle Fire Department, after a pancake breakfast fundraiser, I found a new fire engine. It is not yet in service. This engine, a 2009 E\-One Quest, will be replacing a 1995 Spartan/Darley. As it was a quick tour, I didn't get many more details.

Great shot, thanks for posting it. I was so frustrated because I saw them playing with a new rig at the north end of the airport, but I only saw a rear quater shot from a distance. I had no idea what manufacturer it was. I was about to go knock on the door and go take pics cuz it's a few thousand feet from where I work. But I'm good now! Here is a new SFD 2009 Pierce TDA I found at the Chief Jacobs' Memorial Service today. It still had the Pierce factory serial number attached to the windshield--- 30862

Another cool rear panel by Pierce. I don't know yet what the fate of the 2006 Crimson TDA it is replacing. Still developing at this time.

E28, L12, and Medic 28 have moved into their new quarters. The Dedication Ceremony is this Saturday, Dec 5th at 10 A.M, could be the last chance to see the old station before demolition begins.

I'm not sure what number that is, but the Pierce Job Number is either 21969-01 or 21969-02. I've never seen Pierce put any numbers in that location.

Thanks Dave. Bad guess on my part. Seattle's latest shop number scheme is five digits, starting with the last number of the year purchased. The shop number expected would be 954XX.

E28 backing in. Well, they may hand out pink condoms on Saturday, after all this is Seattle.

Pacific Northwest - Guest - 12-04-2009

Those Seattle rigs are sharp, especially the Pierce TDA and the Spartan/whatever the other ladder is.

Pacific Northwest - bbirmingham - 12-04-2009

Seattle appears to have received a third TDA from Pierce. It is shown on their new deliveries page with a Job Number of 22117. The Aerials at Ladder 4 and 10 have the job numbers Job: 21469-1 and Job: 21469-2 per the local dealers website.

Oops! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Doh' /> My bad, I wasn't sure if it was a 4 or a 9 that I had scribbled down when I took the pic. I guessed 9..... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Banghead' />

Seattle Fire responded with seven engines and four trucks, to an early morning restaurant fire today, in the International District, just two blocks south of Fire Station 10. For more details follow the link. Sorry no fire scene photos, just rig pics.
