Andrew Messer Photos - Andrew2340 - 03-11-2011 Not the best pic by far, because the firefighter was too busy carrying on a conversation with some lady in the parking lot to move the truck around for us. We were lucky to get it where we did. He only moved it here grudgingly and slammed the truck doors in frustration. Oh well, attitude or not, we still got our pictures! Now a couple of things. It did not take Haw Creek long to get rid of the ALF. I can remember when they got it and a tanker from my ex defunct dealership. Do they still have the tanker or did the get rid of it as well? Why has nobody bought the EOne demo? And lastly BST are they new (I assume so)? Andrew Messer Photos - Andrew2340 - 03-12-2011 Hey Neal, Haw Creek FD officially closed their doors a few years ago. I wanna say 2009 but I could be wrong. Asheville took over Haw Creek's station and made it Asheville Station # 12. The FLM2/ALF tanker stayed with Asheville when they acquired the station and now runs as AFD Tanker 12. Also, Haw Creek's Ford brush truck remained with the city and runs as Squad 12. They also had an IHC/3D CAFS engine which was sold for sealed bid to Fairview FD, also in Buncombe County. They had a GMC TopKick/EEI tanker which they rolled, and a Ford/Chief's light-duty rescue which was t-boned and totalled. Lastly, Haw Creek had a Ford C canopy-cab/Grumman top-mount engine which was apparently brokered or sold through Southeastern ALF. Wish I knew where it ended up! Can you provide some insight on this? Not sure why the FL/E-One is still on the demo circuit. It's a very nice truck. It's only downfall is that it's 2-wheel drive and not 4x4. BST is a new company. Apparently it's a group of former Heritage Fire (E\-One dealer for TN) employees that all got together and started making fire trucks of their own. Andrew Messer Photos - nealcraig - 03-13-2011 OK Thanks. I know my former boss did some let us say slightly below grade dealing to get the deal. He left before the engine was completed and they showed up to pick up with a trade in nobody had any idea was coming - the Ford C. Somehow they ended up selling on govdeals Andrew Messer Photos - Andrew2340 - 05-08-2011 Maggie Valley, NC "Squad 17" 2011 Ford F-350/2001 A.R.E.
