From the arlington thread. Looks nice. What I am trying to say is for !@#% sake fairfax try at least one Arrow XT chassis on something. The complaints on the velocities cannot be ignored forever.

Fairfax County VA - chief60 - 11-13-2009

What reserve rescues does Fairfax currently have? Are there any plans to sell them when the 2 new ones come in? We are looking for a used one!! Thanks!!

Fairfax County VA - Guest - 11-14-2009

We still have 3 E\-One cyclones walk-ins. When R426 is replaced 1 of the E-ones will likely be sold off.

And BC402's new buggy. And yes it and the REHAB sit nose to tail in one row in our truckroom.

Were these rigs made up by their shop or were they purchased from someone else? If so do you know who did the work? They are sharp looking trucks.

Looks good Nate. Did you find 426 at the north or south shop? Have you seen the new Hazmat Support unit yet?

Fairfax County VA - Guest - 11-22-2009

Dave,

Hazmat Support is at North Shop. Rescue 426 is at South Shop.

Thanks Patrick, just asking because it looks like the picture Nate took was at the North Shop, see the tank car on the right hand side.....Do they have a tank car setup at the south shop? I haven't been to the South Shop in a long, long time and I am not remembering it well.

Fairfax County VA - Guest - 11-22-2009

Dave,

Good point, it looks close. Where the train cars are though, would be construction at the North shop. At least the last time I was down it was. It could have possibly been at the North Shop for something though.

Fairfax County VA - SrFireOfficial - 11-22-2009

The rail tank car is at the North Apparatus Shop where it butts up to the Fire Academy. The north shop sits where the roof mock-up and other smaller training buildings were once located. All were demolished for the North Apparatus Shop. Phase 1 of a major renovation to the Fire Academy has just started for the construction of a multipurpose burn building.

R426 is at North App. Saw it sitting outside Bay #3 on the maintenance side of the building earlier this week.

Thanks E438.

Any idea how long it will be at North Shop? I was told that the South Shop was going to be outfitting it.

From what I have "heard" old Rescue 26 will be replacing Rescue 14 since the vollies there aren't interested in replacing the existing rig. Again, word of mouth only.

Have a great Thanksgiving fellas!

That's what I've been hearing and thinking as well. Seems to soon to replace a rescue that new (even for Fairfax).
