Not sure what this all was, but it's at Station 54's (Kinloch) parking lot in maybe 88' or 89'
You are right. It was at Kinloch station. They had an E\-One mini expo/display in conjunction with the western convention. The renton rig is now serving in Armstrong County near Ford City.
The Buckeye Oil Spill happened in March of 1990. Tankers from Westmoreland, Cambria, Allegheny, Washington, and Indiana Counties worked for 4 days around the clock supplying water to the Municipal Authority of the City of New Kensington. Our water intake at the Allegheny River was shut down and these tankers provided our source of water. New Kensington Engines 2 & 5 along with Arnold Engine 2 all pumped for 4 days around the clock. The tankers dumped into the tanks and the engines pumped the water up into the reservoir. Mack C Allegheny County Station 280
1965 Mack C-Model. 85' Maxim aerial. Delivered with the 707 C Thermodyne gasoline engine. Refurbished in 1991 by Kenco. New body, Allison automatic, and a Detroit Diesel engine added. Replaced in 2005. Now collector owned in New York I believe. Keystone State Relics - EngineMan - 07-19-2010 Looks like Fairmont-Hahntown's Rescue (Station 6) and their service truck to the right of it (our view). That truck was donated somewhere out west within the last 2 months to make way for their new Seagrave Marauder II Rescue-Engine that is due in August or September I think. Keystone State Relics - Guest - 07-19-2010 It was donated to Bulls Gap, TN. AMERICAN LAFRANCE 196? WARD LAFRANCE
The Lake Carey ALF is a 1951 700 Series that formerly served Taylor Number 3, a good friend of mine bought it many years ago. I don't know about that exhaust stack, it was taken off at some point before he bought it. It ran for a little while, than someone got thier hands on it and messed with the motor.. changed the fuel lines to something smaller and it didn't run after that for many, many years. They finally got it running again and it was sold while the getting was good, cool to see it when it was running in service. AMERICAN LAFRANCE
Goro, A little more info on this rig. Engine 390 served the Belmont Fire Protection District of unincorporated Downers Grove Illinois. IIRC this rig is an Ex FDNY. My old man Spent a year or two in the right seat of that Engine when Belmont merged with the Darien Woodridge Fire District in the early 90s. they disposed of the rig shortly after whereabouts unknown. |
