Juergen Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-08-2011 Several pages back in this thread, a photo of Nanaimo B.C.'s new Pierce Skyarm was posted, so I thought I would include a few more photos of Nanaimo's past and present apparatus fleet. The Pierce Skyarm is replacing this 1977 King Ford 85' snorkel with 1050 pump and 250 gwt. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-08-2011 Nanaimo's E-1 a few years ago is/was this 1996 Superior E-1 Cyclone TC 1250/500/30F Canada Eh? - grubber33270 - 02-08-2011 Do you happen to have any thing for the ipswitch fire department. I see you have upsala which isn't too far please and thanks Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-08-2011 At one point in the department's history, Nanaimo's apparatus was a combination of white over yellow or just plain yellow! This was/is Nanaimo's rescue out of the # 1 hall, a 1984 Anderson International. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-08-2011 Engine 3 in Nanaimo when I visited ran another Superior E-1 Cyclone TC with 1250/500/30A/30B spec's delivered in 1994. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-08-2011 Engine/Aerial 2 in Nanaimo ran a 1999Smeal Spartan Gladiator with 1750/400/20A/20B and 75' ladder. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-08-2011 Rescue 2 in Nanaimo operates a 2007 GMC 5500 with a 1995 Superior body salvaged from an earlier rescue that ran in Nanaimo. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-08-2011 The engine at # 2 is a 2008 Rosenbauer Central States Spartan Metrostar with 1250/450/20F and is one of 2 delivered that year. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-08-2011 One of the spare engines in Nanaimo is housed at station 2, and is a 1985 Anderson Mack MC 1250/300. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-08-2011 Anderson Engineering supplied several other pieces of apparatus to Nanaimo, including a couple of engines on different Duplex chassis. Engine 4 was delivered in 1991 and has a 1250 pump, 500 GWT and twin 30 GFT's. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-08-2011 Anderson used a different Duplex chassis in 1992 to deliver this engine with 1250 pump,500GWT and 60GFT. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-08-2011 Nanaimo has run a tanker out of the main fire station for many years, and the newest one is a 2004 Danko Peterbilt 335 with a 250 pump and a 1500 GWT. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-08-2011 In digging around my negs, I also came across this 1977 Silverline Dodge power wagon 4x4 with a 250 pump and a250 water tank. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-08-2011 This tanker was found at the department training grounds and is a 1956 LaFrance Ford 750 which once had a 500 gpm pump and a home made 1000 gal water tank. I think this served on an offshore island that was part of the city and was only serviced by passenger ferry. Canada Eh? - Big Dave - 02-08-2011 grubber33270 sorry no record of a community or fire department in Ontario called Ipswitch. Are you perhaps referring to Ignace, Ontario which is not too far from Upsala? |
