I know that College Park, GA, along with some other departments are now running blues on the back of their rigs. The blues supposedly only work when the truck is in park and gives it an added bit of visibility. When we were at the Pierce plant in Bradenton, FL last week, there were a couple of departments with similar setups.

Great shot Alex!

Thanks, Mark!

Wow.....what a sharp rig (Dania) notice the Sunrise style crosslays in the front bumper. Pompano Beach newest rig has blue lights in the rear

Today Alex, Kelvin & myself took advantage of the great weather and shot a few rigs from Boca Raton, Boynton Beach & PBCFR

First up is Boca Raton Trk 5 a 2010 Sutphen Monarch 1250/500

FLORIDA RIGS - Guest - 02-28-2010

Boynton Beach has (2) new 2010 Suthpen Monarch Trk 809 which will run out of station 1 it is a SL 75' with a 1500/300

FLORIDA RIGS - Guest - 02-28-2010

Lastly is Palm Beach County's 1 of 4 Sutphen Shield S4 pumpers. This one is assigned to Eng 53 it has a 1500 gpm 750 tank

FLORIDA RIGS - Guest - 03-02-2010

As Ron stated above, Sunday was a gorgeous day across South Florida. Our intentions were to shoot; Boca's (2) new Sutphen pumpers assigned to E2 and E6, Delray Beach's new Pierce 100' Platform assigned to T5 and Boynton Beach's new 75' Sutphen Quint assigned to Q1. Just my luck, both of Boca's new engines where not in service, Delray's new platform was involved in a minor wreck so that was also out of service and the story goes on, but in spite of all the disappointments we managed to get a few beauties.

Although, Ron posted the pictures we took on Sunday, here are my shots by request.

First up is Palm Beach County Engine-53 a 2009 Sutphen Monarch 1500/750.

OK, not the greatest pictures, but I figured I would post them. These are pics from the Sutphen factory of the Palm Beach Co. Engines. Two were inside in the final stages of bulding and one of the chassis was outside waiting to be built (i'm sure I have a picture of the body or pump for it but I can't say for sure).

haha... I was thinking the same thing, Tom. Quick question, I noticed the platform was moved to 92, is that permanent change?

Platform will remain at 92 until new station 72 (currently under construction) opens sometime around January 2011. It will then be relocated there in the center of the city as Platform 72.
