Most firehouses with one apparatus door have floor space for 2 rigs side by side but the apparatus door won't fit 2 rigs going out side by side. If the engine is behind the chief's car the battalion aide will run down and move it if the engine gets a run, same thing if the engine is in front if the chief gets a run. Back when the Mayor was closing house Squad/Engine 252 was on the block to be cut. So 44 was trained to do squad stuff. I think they should have the title of squad, as if they need to have someone cover for them if they have a company thing only members from other squad companies can cover them. Just My 2 Cents Chris |
