Empire State Oldies - matchot - 11-13-2008 Hi folks haven't been around for some time on the board here, but since I was reading this very interesting thread, I thought I'd post some pics from a recent muster that I attended here in Rochester along with my department. We had our Hovercraft, and our new Engine on display during the muster, and I was able to walk around for a while and get some pics, so here they are. First off I'll start with this Mack Engine which has been restored to it's original look by the St Paul Blvd Fire Dept in Irondequoit,NY. I have been told that this rig was originally purchased by St Paul new, and then was sold to the Pultneyville FD in neighboring Wayne County,NY, and then was bought back by St Paul, and restored by them. I'm not sure if this story is true or not, but they currently own it, and bring it out to many FD functions during the summertime. Empire State Oldies - matchot - 11-13-2008 Next we have this restored antique 1937 Buffalo Engine. I saw this one posted somewhere in this thread earlier, but thought I'd share my picture of it. It is owned by a local SPAAMFAA member Jerry Clement, and is a favorite at all of the summertime local parades around the Rochester area. Empire State Oldies - matchot - 11-13-2008 Next we have this 1947 International/Young Engine owned by the Henrietta,NY FD. Empire State Oldies - matchot - 11-13-2008 Next is this 1931 Ward LaFrance Engine owned by the Hamlin,NY FD. Empire State Oldies - matchot - 11-13-2008 Next is this 1933 ALF Engine which used to serve at the Bergholtz,NY Niagara County FD. Empire State Oldies - matchot - 11-13-2008 Next is this 1954 Ward LaFrance Engine which used to serve the Medina,NY FD. Empire State Oldies - matchot - 11-13-2008 Next is this 1928 ALF Engine owned by the Barnard FD of Greece,NY. Empire State Oldies - matchot - 11-14-2008 Next is this 1933 Mack Engine restored and owned by the Gates-Chili FD of Gates,NY. Empire State Oldies - matchot - 11-14-2008 Next is this 1923 Ford Model T Chemical Engine owned by the Main Transit FD of the Town of Amherst,NY. Empire State Oldies - matchot - 11-14-2008 Next is this 1934 Diamond T/ Cayasler Engine owned by the East Bloomfield-Holcomb FD. Empire State Oldies - matchot - 11-14-2008 Next is this 1942 Ford/ALF Engine, which formerly served the city of Canandaigua,NY. I also saw this rig posted earlier in this thread, and this is what the rig currently looks like. Empire State Oldies - matchot - 11-14-2008 Next is this 1964 Ford C/ FMC/ Bean Engine which is privately owned. I have no idea as to who originally owned this rig, but it is in excellent shape. |
