This little unit is a Mazda T3500. It has 4x4 capacity and carries about 1000L and 2 crew. The hazard mitigation unit conduct prescribed buring activities as a for profit service within the fire service.

If you are talking about the Gold Coast 91 unit. They are door magnet labels for strike team leader vehicles.

Is that a standard type of compartment door on the rescue, with the whole side lifting up that way? Is that pipe framework under the raised door part of the door, or part of a piece of equipment?
Always neat to see what is similar and different from the various countries...

This unit and its sister (Fleet 0498QF) are the only ones like it in Australia, and the pipe framework flips down and whiteboards are attached for the incident management team.

Southport has undergone some redevelopment over the years. Think of Miami FL in a Australia setting. That is the Gold Coast.

Back in the late 90's the regional chief (Assistant Commissioner) ordered three command rescue appliances for the regional centres Gold Coast, Ipswich and Beenleigh. The appliances fill the dual roles of a heavy rescue and command. The two International Accos have a full command pod at the rear.
Then there this. It fills the same description but on an Isuzu 4x4 chassis. Yes it drops at the rear to access the command suite and some of the tools in the rear.

Austral long term supplier of appliances created the Firepac. Built on a bus chassis the firepac featured a single cab for 6 but 4 is comfortable. Qld ordered many of these for urban stations. Early models had a mid mount pump and the later had rear mount pumps. New South Wales (NSW) also brought these for the NSW Fire Brigades.

An even more unique appliance (only 2 made) was this 'Charioteer' built in 1990 they were built on an International N1630 chassis, with a Ziegler 575gpm pump and 1100 tank.
