Went by AES today and found this getting worked on:

Walter Reed Army Medical Center FD Washington DC

Engine 55

1994 Pierce Arrow

1250/750/30

[/quote]

Do they run mutual aid off the hospital grounds, and if so, with whom?

Thanks!

I think the Forest Glen station runs mutual aid, but I don't believe that the main station does.

Walter Reed Station 55 was to have been completely shut down by the end of 2010. The tower was to be moved to the Forest Glen station once renovations were done. Can anybody confirm if they did shut Station 55 down?, and if so, what are they using this engine for now? I know that the old Engine 754 is used as a reserve engine. It is pretty much a twin to this unit.

I got a few rigs posed today at the muster at the carroll County Farm Museum.

First up is Baltimore City Truck 29-actually it is Kensington's old Ladder 5 a 1974 Seagrave.

A couple of Kensingtons guys redid it up as Truck 29

I shot a few antiques at the Steam Show at Heavers Museum in Lutherville this past Sunday.

Can you imagine fighting some of the fires that they saw in this rigs hay day. Fantastic picture, love the older stuff.

Brian,

I saw 21 and 22 there today. I guess all of the remaining Fords will be replaced and M51 is suppose to be replaced too.

I think the order is at least 6 not sure how many total.

I was told eight total: 4, 10, 11, 14, 20, 21, 22, and 51 are the ones getting them I believe as they are all of the old Ford PL Customs still remaining in the firstline fleet with the exception of 51 which is originally Laurel, DE's old Ambo, a 2000 Freightliner.

Yea Brian or I guess three of them. M 11 x SM40, 20 xSM11, and 22 xSM47. I assume 13 old SM 54 will remain in firstline since that's an International.
