Carroll Manors Meck that was involved in the accident was purchased by their Ex-Chief, who has it stored down the street from Station 14. I don't know what will become of it.

The new Rescue Engine at 28 was purchased to replace the Mack, and also take the place of the current Rescue Squad 14 at Station 14 (RS-14 was slated to become a Rescue Engine and sent to Station 28). After the new Pierce arrived, they then found out that all the needed equipment from RS-14 (1996 Pierce Lance HDR) would not fit on the PUC. It was then sent down to Station 28, and placed in service as a Rescue Engine.

And the Seagrave is a County Reserve ET that ran most of it's life as Engine Tanker 24 out of the Junior's Station.

If this has confused anyone, don't feel bad. I was confused as it was explained to me.

Carroll Manor's refurbed Mack r was involved in a roll over a few years ago, and I believe destroyed. It is not there anymore. They purchased, or acquired a used Seagrave pumper/tanker from the City of Frederick that they now run as their engine/tanker.

That stinks, I thought it was refurbed after an accident, it was a neat looking rig, that's too bad. These guys don't have the best luck do they?!

So, Junior no longer runs an Engine tanker? Just an engine and a squad?

The 83 Mack R was refurbed because of age,the wreck was actually 14's first serious one in a long time. Of course, having your quint buried in a blizzard and losing an airboat in a flooded creek could happen to anybody.

Remember, Frederick County is no longer like rural Kansas... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Hysterical' />

EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, definitely excellent. Just getting back this afternoon from our annual NJ State Firemen's Association Convention, I am sad to report that so far no shirt vendors have come out with one for Citifield listing the favorite Mets players past and present along with the FDNY companies that protect it like they have done for a number of sports venues including the Mets old home of Shea Stadium. They still offered shirts for Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park and others. The only thing better than this pic right now would be for the Mets to get a new team owner who would get a new GM.

Spent the weekend out and about. On Saturday I had Sam (emtbummie) arrange a few stations in Huntingdon County, to try and accomplish the new rigs. Along with us was Adam (njfirepix). We accomplished 33 rigs in the day, and had to skip a couple stations due to the low light. I'll let the other two post most of the equipment from the day. A couple of my favorites are below. Today, I took Adam (njfirepix), and Jason (binski) around my area of Mifflin County. I'm sure those two will post some of that.

Fenton Fire has/had it listed at 40,000 It took a while to sell since 2002/3

For a truck in that good of shape and mostly if not fully equipped you cant beat that.

Shoop Photos - Guest - 09-20-2010

Marklesburg got it for $10,000.

The Pierce tower from Saxton is the former Truck 12 from Lower Allen in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. It appears they added a grill to the Arrow cab to make it match the rest of their fleet. Can anyone confirm this? What other upgrades did they make, besides the emergency lighting upgrades?

Shoop Photos - Guest - 09-20-2010

It is the X-Lower Allen rig as marked. The modifications you listed are the only ones that I know of, other than the paint. The crew said the grill is fake, and was only added to make it look like the rest of the fleet.

Pat and Sam

Thanks guys for a great weekend of shooting. I will put some pics up soon. Just got a chance to download them and edit. I look forward to coming back out that way soon. Again thank you for your hospitality and a special thanks to the brothers at United Fire Co. of Lewistown that let me bunk in for the night.

Shoop Photos - countryboy88 - 09-21-2010

Wow <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/22_yikes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='22_yikes' /> 10,000 you cant beat that price for a very well taken care of rig, that should last another 10 or so years.

Shoop Photos - Binski - 09-22-2010

Nice pics Shoop! Wish i could have caught up with you guys on Sat. Had a great time Sunday and appreciate you taking the time out for setting up the shots.
