We all need to keep the NOFD in our prayers as yet another hurricane is headed right at them....

Outstanding thread! Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed my visit to the city last year. Good to see all of the apparatus I was unable to visit.

New Orleans, LA Fire Apparatus - Ladder 68 - 08-31-2008

I think the Mack CF Squrt from David Crockett FD is Ex-East bank FD.

Corrections welcome.

Great photos thanks for sharing.

I remember watching a video of NOFD fighting a well involved house fire DURING the hurricane (katrina) on youtube. The video says it is Kenner and NO, LA

Is that a Maxim Ladder I see?

It is. NOFD had at least two Maxim aerials, a 100' TDA and a rearmount, also 100' (I think).

The 1975 Maxim 100' TDA served New Orleans as Ladder 8, then Ladder 11.

The 1978 Maxim 100' RM served as New Orleans Ladder 2, then Ladder 7.

Sorry, I don't have Maxim #'s on these.
