Guys, quick question. Pardon my lack of computer skills, but how do you resize photos for attachment? I have hose bed shots of most of St. Petersburg, FL Fire Rescue, but they are all above the minimum size and won't upload. Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like the High Pressure FDNY Engines dont carry as much hose as the Standard Engines.

We use the "lead line" a lot due to many 2 1/2 story houses in our district.
The 800' looks a little sloppy due to no divider. We have asked numerous times but "they" say there is no money. Currently we are using flatten cardboard boxes to separate these loads.

St. Petersburg, FL Pumper 13, originally ran as Engine 11, while running as a spare for Engine 13, it was wrecked. No injuries, but the rig was scrapped.

Unfortunately, I'm usually too busy at work to get around and get shots of our own rigs. Most of my photos are from across the bay from Tampa in the St. Petersburg/Pinellas County area. I'll try though, because Tampa has some interesting hose bed configuartions and even more interesting hose loads. Every engine is supposed to carry at least two 1 3/4" lines at 200', some engines carry one or two additional depending on their pumper design. Also, 3" at 400' in a dead lay/male out, 5" at 1000', and one 2 1/2" at 200'. I'll see what I can do. Until then, keep them coming.

Our city, as with many others, is very short on cash. Our fleet is aging rapidly and there is no plan for apparatus in the near future. We will be very lucky to retain our current level of staffing next year. We are just hoping to avoid layoffs they speak of.
