Quote:The only specifics I have on it are that it's a 1957 American LaFrance 85' Tiller
This rig appears to be an ex-St. Louis TDA. Being an 85 footer, means it could be any one of five.

Sorry, I’m stumped ... don’t know . This one served with another department before Granville got it, probably to match their pumper.

Any more out there?

I think the Reg. No. for that one is 9096. I had it written down and came across it the other day. Does that match, or am I looking at the information for another truck? (A good possibility knowing me.) <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

It could very well be an ex-Corning, NY truck - 1948 model with open cab and an 85 foot ladder.

Reg. No. 9096 was delivered on 05/29/1948.

Thanks for the assist.

This relic resides at our farm. I drug it home from another farm about three years ago. Sad, I know, but it looked this way when I got it. I'm just trying to save the engine and transmission at this point.

I don't remember a whole lot about this one. It had been for sale online in the SPAAMFAA Classifieds in late-2003 and ended up in Carmel, Indiana, for a short time. That's where I saw it.
