Nice additions.

St. Louis Metro - Guest - 09-05-2006

Real nice additions Commish. Was the Des Peres Dash inservice yet when you were there? I havent had the chance to get the new STL Co. Hazmat or the Des peres pumper yet. Are you down here for the rally downtown?

I think the Kirkwood ladder 1535 is actually a 2003. Im not positive though. The Webster Quint is a 2001. It was delivered the same time that the two Mehlville FPD quints were, they were ordered together.

No rally for me , too many people another phographers nightmare!

This is a truck known to the STLFD as "Big Moe." Big Moe is a 1977 howe/duplex. originally stationed at engine 5

this was a front line apparatus and was also yellow like the other howes st louis ran before we aquired out new fleet of 1987 Pierce arrow quints and our LTIs. This rig is unique because it was fitted with a huge monitor and it was painted red. it is mostly used for parade purposes and the rare occasion,LODD,to give the ceremonial last ride. R.I.P. Derek and Rob!

Whats with the different paint scheme on St. Louis Fire's Hook and Ladder 6. I have seen the conventional paint scheme on a few of the Hook and Ladders but that one seems to have different white stripes.

When the city aquired H&L 6 we still were using the 1987 Pierce arrow and lti rigs, i am pretty sure it was basically a tryout for E\-One, to see if we wanted to get E\-One rigs. the paint scheme is a one off for our department, another attempt at trying new things. the E\-One rear mount at H&L 6 replaced the sutphen we used to run out of the downtown station. H&L 6 is stationed downtown and runs with Engine 2 and BC 802. The shops are also located on the south side of that station.

I really like this rig! This is one of the LTI Hook and Ladders stationed at good ol' district 8(a.k.a. lambert st louis international airport). The city had 3 of these ladder trucks in red during the 90's(H&L 2,4, and 15) this one is still in operation at the airport, i think... This is a rare site to see inside the city limits! It was called in to a chemical fire/haz-mat operation today because of its foam capabilities. I couldn't get near the incident so i took some shots at the staging area. I also love this color on this rig!
