F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 03-25-2007 Found out the Pierce Arrow XT NEW Rescue 1 went in service Tuesday, there is a short clip of it responding in the videos section -Keith F.D.N.Y. - Frenchy1004 - 03-26-2007 Speaking of Rescue 1, I was looking at the picture on the cover of the latest issue of FAJ and it appears all of the exterior compartments on the body have a latch for a padlock. I guess this doesn't surprise me a whole lot, but would they actually put padlocks on there, seems like it would waste valuable time at a fire scene. If someone could clue me in on these I would appreciate it. Thanks, Frenchy F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 03-26-2007
Speaking of Rescue 1, I was looking at the picture on the cover of the latest issue of FAJ and it appears all of the exterior compartments on the body have a latch for a padlock. I think it's just a standard device the manufacturer puts on the rigs. F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 03-31-2007 I've found a lot of very good pics of the new R1 and a few other trucks by "Skipton" here at Webshots: http://rides.webshots.com/album/488393476u...tions/FullAlbum F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 03-31-2007
No we do not put padlocks on the rigs all the rigs have the latches, some companies use a carabiner on a chain as a back-up to keep the compartments closed. TOO MUCH MONEY TO LEAVE UNLOCKED! Also lot of inviting tools for "B&E" use. F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 03-31-2007
Not pad locks...
