Quote:does that include "Acting" or "Ride-Up" Captains?

Most of the Captains I've worked for were just acting!!!! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Hysterical' />

A Captain on every run? Interesting concept. I'm an F.A.O. and very often OIC on fire scenes, not to mention EMS runs! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Shrug' />

Since there is no reserve USAR's in the County when needed for events such as the weather event this week Collaspe 103 will be pressed into service and run as USAR 5103.

There is a reserve USAR kept at Pacoima. It is identical to the frontline USAR rigs. It is sometimes referred to as USAR 507.

USAR 507 is also manned right now at Pacoima aka Barton. So Cal is getting pounded by rain as we speak and ov er 1,000 homes that were evacuated during the Station fire are now being evacuated due to the potential for severe mudslides. To help LACoFD has moved up extra resources into Battalion 4 the primary Battalion affected by the fire.

Truck 20's 1993 Simon-Duplex/LTI 100', LA County FD#F0183, was reassigned to Truck 82. I don't know if it's still there. Here's a photo of it when it was at Truck 20.

Thanks for the information...much appreciated.

When there was a Q049 was there also an E049 in quarters at the same time? I only ask because I thought E049 once had a '93 KME and didn't know if they closed the engine when they created Q49 and have now gone back to an engine only house.

Thanks in advance.

Larry,

When Q49 was put into service in '98 or so, they kept the engine in the house. So it was E49, Q49 & Sq49. Just after La Habra came over to the LACoFD, they moved the quint to 15's and put BC21 into 49's. The moving of the quint, closed Engine 15. So, Engine 49 never went oos. The engine that was Engine 15 was placed into service as E194, when the temp station was opened a couple of months after the taking in of La Habra in 2005. The only frontline rigs at 15's is Q15.

Hope that helps!
