Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 04-24-2007 I found this today outside Central, a American La France 110' ft. Quint (duh!) demo which was trying to squeeze it's way into quarters. Looks like a tight squeeze to me...not sure if they ever got it in all the way because I wasn't able to stick around. Looks good, even if it is a quint! Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 04-24-2007 Here are some chief's vehicles. Seems I've been stumbling across lot's of these lately. Middleton Car 2 Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 04-24-2007 Melrose Car 1 Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 04-24-2007 Gloucester Car 1 Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 04-24-2007 While I'm at it...Beverly Squad 2, a 2000 Ford F-350/Greenwood 250/350. This was bought new in 2000 and replaced a 1985 Ford with a Homelite skid unit. After this was put into service, I would see the old Squad 2 minus it's skid unit and warning lights kicking around the Gloucester Crossing area being used as a personal vehicle. Any idea when the Hamilton station is coming down and if there are any plans for a formal dedication/ceremony for the new station? Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - hfd556 - 04-26-2007
Nice photos! Any idea when the Hamilton station is coming down and if there are any plans for a formal dedication/ceremony for the new station?
As far as I know they're in the process of doing tearing down the old station. I worked last Sunday for the FD and we took down our letters from the front of the building and moved some fire gear to the new station. I'm not sure if and when we'll have a dedication cermony for the new station. I'll try and keep you posted. Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 04-26-2007 that newburyport ladder is out of service alot due to mechanical problems Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 04-26-2007
that newburyport ladder is out of service alot due to mechanical problems
They are down two of their spare pumps as well. They already have, or will soon be disposing of the 1979 Ford/ E\-One and the 1968 Pirsch. Both were pulled from service last year due to their deteriorating, unsafe condition. |
