Keystone State Relics - Guest - 11-01-2011 (and since it will be replaced by an AFG grant it should go to someone outside the fire service..although that doesn't always happen). I thought it HAD to? Keystone State Relics - smketrfdny - 11-01-2011
Woodlyn (Delaware County)
This Mack looks like an old Long Island rig. Possibly Massapequa or Hicksville? Thanks in advance. Stay safe, Brothers. Keystone State Relics - e290l103 - 11-01-2011 Hicksville.
I thought it was Massapequa, and that it was owned by the owner of Command Fire Apparatus as he was a member there many years ago.
Joel, The Massapequa rig is close but there are some differences between this one and the Massapequa rig, the biggest of which is this has steel disk wheels and the Massapequa rig has spoked wheels. Also the warning lights are different, the Massapequa rig has a single 180 beacon on it while this one has the big lightbar and everything. As far as I know the Massapequa rig went right from Massapequa to Glenn's hands but I could be wrong about that. The Massapequa rig is a nice looking piece and still runs and looks like a champ!! Don't hold me to it, but I think Pennsburg bought this one used from Edina, MN.
