Las Vegas, NM ran this 1953 American LaFrance 700 Series 750 gpm pumper. Check out all the warning devices perched atop the windshield. Looks like a propane tank mounted just before the rear fender. Okay, I will put my ignorance on the line here: Is a hydrant thawing device really that much of an essential piece of equipment in Sin City? Or, is there another Las Vegas a little further north?

It is Las Vegas, New Mexico- not far from Sante Fe, NM where they do get snow!

It also looks like the booster reels are quite a ways back from where they usually are.
