This one looks like a former septic tank pump truck. Couldn't find out a lot of into about it.

I need some help on this one from you Georgia folks. Please tell me you're familiar with this truck... The Chief told me that they got this truck from the State of Georgia. It was originally owned by Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Fort Oglethorpe wrecked the truck. Southern Fire got ahold of the truck and did a refurb, bringing it back to working order. Not sure if it went anywhere between there and Brasstown.

(no data plates found, no DOT sticker found, no pump plates found, nothing...just a State of Georgia Asset ID tag on the B-post of the driver's door)

I don't recognize it at all. Fort Oglethorpe never had anything like that one, neither did anyone around that area as far as I know. The State of Georgia owns very few apparatus, mostly used by some of the correctional facilities. Forest Hays C.I. is the only one I know of up that way, in Summerville, but I don't think it was theirs either.

Very nest rig Andrew! Like the old septic tank truck too, kind of unusual.

Andrew Messer Photos - Andrew2340 - 04-29-2012

Dave: I thought it was strange that there were no identifying markings anywhere on the truck. The pump gauges were one of those generic brands, nothing on either of the 4 sides of the truck, nothing on the steamer intakes, nothing on the mudflaps, no plates anywhere, no DOT sticker, only that State of Georgia Asset ID sticker in the cab. Do you have a theory on where it may have came from?

Micah: Thanks!! We have an open invitation back to Clay County anytime we'd like to visit! The only stations I didn't get to get pics at were Warne VFD & Clay County F&R Stations 2, 3, 4, & the Fire Boat.

Before anyone says anything, yes I know this is a horrible picture. It was late, it was getting dark very fast, it's not a posed driver's side picture and my camera was almost dead. But after about 15 times stopping at this FD, I finally caught somebody here and they were willing to move the trucks. I had to take advantage of the chance. It was either take two bad pics, or forever wonder where their trucks came from. I'm not looking to be judged on how bad this photo is, I just need some help figuring out where this truck came from...
