I know one has been delivered in Michigan already, but I'd bet this is one of the first few built...
Thanks np, I was told the same thing in another thread. I was unable to change the info on this post.

Think you'll ever get across the river an get some shots of East St. Louis rigs? Not that I'd go without an armed escort.......

Ill save that trip and opportunity for one of the other St. Louis firepixers.

East St. Louis is a <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tisktisk.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tisktisk' /> for me!
In 1966 the department received this Mack C/Baker 75-foot Tower Ladder, Mack #C85FAP-1343 which was originally assigned as Snorkel 14 (still lettered that way) and Snorkel 8 as pictured here.

- 1976 Photo by Duane Troxel
In looking back over this EXCELLENT thread, I find an minor error.....The boom is an Eaton, not Baker. Baker did not start building the Aerialscope for Mack until 1970. ilfirebuff, The last time I was there '86-'87 they operated a couple E/One Fords and a Seagrave for engines, I didn't see an aerial. Please post the pic, that'd be nice.

I thought East St. Louis, since riverboat gambling, had really straightened up with the additional funding to the city for law enforcement and fire protection. I thought they essentially replaced the entire fire department fleet.

Thanks.

They have fairly new apparatus. I saw a while back they have twin E\-One engines. I think they are 200?'s. Im not sure what the Truck Co is. Whenever they need a truck it seems like they call an StLFD unit across river.

Even with the Casino, the city is poor and very corrupt. They FD and PD could use more funding from somewhere.

Excellent Topic. Nice shots everyone!

Thanks for saving it. I was on vacation through the active posting periods so like a couple of other pixers I missed it.

Absolutely wonderful thread. I'm really enjoying the questions and comments from various interested parties.
