Sharp! I like the paint job but it wouldn't fit in our firehouse with the boat!

FLORIDA RIGS - Guest - 06-27-2010

That is a sharp rig. I wonder if that is the one I passed on the way home in March?

Very nice, Im looking forward to seeing the new striping!

But I must ask, why 78'? Is that a common height or was it ordered like that for a special reason?

FLORIDA RIGS - srq2009 - 06-27-2010

Alex, that new picture size is great! Thanks for the shots of Dania R1...very sharp!

FLORIDA RIGS - Guest - 06-27-2010

E\-One last year came out with a new length on their quints. You now have the option of 75' or 78'. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Yesterday I was able to get out for couple hours before the clouds moved in, here is a reshot of Coral Springs E95.

My daughter sent me this phone shot of a Jackson Hotshot crew truck that was parked in the Jupiter inlet park ??????? she also said that Palm Beach County had a command unit setup in the area.

FLORIDA RIGS - Fire28 - 06-28-2010

FLORIDA RIGS - Guest - 06-28-2010

I dont know mabe on (vacation!) or have something to do with the tarballs.

FLORIDA RIGS - Guest - 06-28-2010

Shoop is correct....its an E\-One gimmick. No real difference between 78 and 75

Its a tactic/gimmick. Some depts were writing specs that stated a length more than 75' (Ferrara's 77' ladder) to exclude other manufacturers from bidding. With this 78' aerial, E\-One can submit a bid that won't be immediately rejeced because it didn't meet the minimum requirements.

If I'm not mistaken, FEMA/AFG grants used to read "aerial '76ft or greater" on the apparatus application.

Wow, both the ambulances you've posted in the past couple of days are really sharp! Does the Miramar rig have dual outside AC condensors?

Thanks, Shoop! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

Roto-Ray,

Looking at the picture, it appears that it does. I read through the specs on the Hall-Mark website, however it doesn't specify. I'll do my best to obtain the information for you.
