Found this old 35mm that, I took back in early 90's. UP 3593 in Camouflage stopped for crew change in Texarkana. This was during the first Gulf War.

Ahhh...memories of Conrail. A little more than 10 months after the takeover of Conrail by Norfolk Southern and CSX, we find a Norfolk Southern GP38 with it's original Conrail number still on display. It's seen here with a patched sister pulling a train out of the yard in Hazleton, PA. The unit is a former Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines unit and is now owned by Helms Leasing doing duty in Texas. The mountain looking masses in the background are anthracite coal piles

Taken in mid-April 1999 with my Canon EOS Rebel G film camera. Professionally scanned from the negative.

I know this is going back almost thirty years but does anybody have any pictures of the Old MoPac Railroad? I know it merged with the Uncle Pete aka Union Pacific Railroad in 1982/83, my father worked for the MoPac and then retired out of the Union Pacific in 1997. Thanks in advance.

Have few 35 mm from mid 80's , but have to dig them out of storage. I grew up with MoPac here in Texarkana, Ar. We had Mopac, Cotton Belt, KCS.

In the mean time here a great MoPac site. http://www.mopac.org/

Thanks Jason and I look forward to seeing what you have. The next time I get to my dads house in North Carolina I will look through some of the old photo albums and see what he has in his collection too.

Hoping someone might be able to educate me on this train. I remember seeing it a number of years ago in Front Royal, VA and I just saw it yesterday heading north out of Front Royal (heading towards Hagerstown, MD). It appears to be a NS work train and I am assuming the cars are quarters for the crew?

These same cars were parked stationary on the tracks across from Elkton's old station when I visited about 18 months ago...I'm curious as well.
