DCFD Photos, old or new - dcfireman - 08-08-2007
Medic 26 (I think thats blue?)
I guess the Medics had the blue numbers and the ambulances had the red numbers. The I.D. job is getting tougher... 2007 fireground photo, Medic 30 and Ambulance 30 at the power plant, 3400 Benning Rd. NE DCFD Photos, old or new - davemcclung - 08-08-2007 Kevin, love seeing your posts. Great pictures and discussion. DCFD Photos, old or new - Guest - 08-08-2007
Medic 26 (I think thats blue?) 2002 Ford E450/Wheeled Coach x-A26
Actually, on the red/white & blue EMS units- RED numbers signified Medics, BLUE numbers were for Ambulances. Also, the medic units had "-^v^-PARAMEDIC UNIT-^v^-" on the sides. Prior to that paint job, we had white ambos with a single red stripe, and the number on them would have a line "30"under it, along with red neighborhood text "CAPITOL VIEW". Prior to that, we had orange striped ambos. They had a similar arrangement with orange numbers "21" And they were the first units to have neighborhoods on the sides "ADAMS MORGAN" Prior to that, the orange striped medics had "MEDIC * UNIT" on the side, and that was it. Before that was stars & bars paint, those units didn't have the same number assigned to a different type of level of care- IE: A10, M22 & Rapid 28 were assigned to E30/T17. Follow all that? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/computer.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> DCFD Photos, old or new - Guest - 08-09-2007 and those stars and bars ambos had red and blue lights DCFD Photos, old or new - Pete(UK) - 08-09-2007 DC DCFD Photos, old or new - Pete(UK) - 08-09-2007 rear DCFD Photos, old or new - Pete(UK) - 08-09-2007 older DCFD Photos, old or new - Pete(UK) - 08-09-2007 Rapid response DCFD Photos, old or new - Pete(UK) - 08-09-2007 more, these were taken in 2003 DCFD Photos, old or new - Pete(UK) - 08-09-2007 again, all taken in 2003 DCFD Photos, old or new - Pete(UK) - 08-09-2007 a few more examples DCFD Photos, old or new - Pete(UK) - 08-09-2007 more DCFD Photos, old or new - Pete(UK) - 08-09-2007 again DCFD Photos, old or new - Pete(UK) - 08-09-2007 last 2 from 2003 DCFD Photos, old or new - Guest - 08-09-2007 Go Pete!
