Stopped at Etowah-Horseshoe. Got most of their fleet. I wont post all of them, because they have been posted before. BUT, Ive never seen this one before. They removed the 75' Water Chief aerial and made an engine out of it. Hard to believe it was replaced in 2008 with a new Pierce Velocity 100ft Tower. Ottawa purchased it used from ALF. I was always told a department in Texas rejected it. In Ottawa it was Ladder 1 and it was used only for fires and MVA's. Had a great sounding Detroit though. Ottawa set it up at a fire on a hot asphalt parking lot and it slowly fell over came to rest on the ladder tip and the fireman running the fly pipe climbed off. It was repaired and returned to service. Crusin' Carolina - Juice - 10-19-2014 Monarch Tanker 1 is a 1987 Century 2000/Saulsbury, ex-South Fire District, Middletown, CT. ex-Kokomo, IN. This truck sustained some damage from a 2013 Tornado that hit Kokomo, which can be seen in the photo below.
