just curious, is this a current rig being used? thought all the Lifeguard stuff came under the LACOFD now?

Santa Fe Dam lifeguards are not a part of the LACoFD. The LACoFD lifeguards handle the beaches while county parks such as Santa Fe Dam and Castaic Laek are under the control LA County Parks and Rec.

Actually Sutphen are not that rare on the West coast. Orange County Fire Authority, Rancho Cordova, Escondido, Petaluma just to name a few have Sutphen

Considering the hundreds of departments on the West Coast that have never owned one I would consider it rare.

I grew up in Escondido and remember seeing alot of them in that area.. Just wish i had been shooting apparatus back then <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banghead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Banghead' />
