Next up is the Amana Colonies. There are actually seven villages in the Colonies; Main Amana, East Amana, High Amana, Middle Amana, South Amana, West Amana and Homestead. All are served by the Amana Fire Department from two stations.

During late May I stopped by Hills, IA, just south of Iowa City, just as Hills VFD was being paged to an electrical fire at a business a half block from their station. There wasn't much action to shoot, but I did take some apparatus photos.
