And speakin' of Hopewell... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

The last time I remember seeing Hopewell's truck on a run was New Years Eve '06, at a house fire in the far west end of the city, and the rig wasn't utilized then as the fire was WAY off the road.

They've occasionally been running a reserve engine (Engine 13, an older Pierce I believe) as a Squad...the rig caries extra ventilation and forcible entry tools. If an aerial is needed, they can get one from Prince George, Petersburg, Colonial Heights, or Chesterfield.

The Out of Service Tower replaced an ALF 100' rear mount. That rigs twin was delivered to Petersburg, where it was in service from 1967 to 1988. I believe Hopewell's ALF was in service for a couple of years longer than Petersburg's

Now, a couple Hopewell's current rigs.... Hopewell runs two two piece engine companies, and all 4 rigs are all Spartan/Qualitiys. The pics were taken at a house fire on Old Iron Road last Thursday.

First, Engine 12, the second out rig from Station 1, down town.

And Engine 22, 2nd out piece from Station 2, 0ff of Winston Churchill Blvd.

I'm going to post the house fire pics over in fire scene...got LOTS of catching up to do.

Ok just putting this out there.. I saw quite a few older apparatus at Chesapeake's Station 7 this morning. One was a Pirsch that has been posted on here.. still unrestored. Another, was just a body. And the last one, was a what looked to be fully restored Mack C. I didn't get to see the whole thing, as I was just passing by and it was in the engine room. It had a "65" on the front, so either it used to be Engine 65 or it is a 1965 Mack C.

Does anyone know what I'm speaking of and/or have picture of this Mack C?
