Fullerton has an ex OCFA Type 3. I wasn't able to get a photo of it.

Riverside County's Truck 33.   20xx KME 100' TDA.

This unit is assigned to Station 33 in the City of Palm Desert, one of three Cities (incl. Rancho Mirage and Indian Wells) which got together in the early 1980's to assure effective Fire, Paramedic and Police coverage through formation of the "Cove Community Services Commission", assuring shared public safety funding and governance between the three Cities.

Nothing fancy with this rig, just simple and functional.

Spent a couple of days in Redlands and managed to make a quick stop at Station 1 (Station 261 in the San Bernardino County system).

Medic Squad 261 is a 2007 Ford F-550/BME (Boise Mobile Equipment) paramedic squad

I couldn't decide which view I like better, so I'm posting both.  This one shows the body a little better.

Truck 261 is a 2011 Pierce Arrow XT 100' RM, Pierce S/N 24538,  bought with an AFG Grant.  Sorry about the shadow.

The Pierce replaced this rig, former Truck 261, a 1998 Seagrave quint - 1500/300/25a/100' RM.  In turn this rig replaced a classic 1975 Crown 100' RM single axle rig, which was sold (I'd love to have bought that one).  This rig was blocked in on both ends, so I didn't ask anyone to move it.

Another view of the Seagrave quint.  I have a couple more to upload later on.

Replaced a Quint with a dry truck?

...which itself had replaced a dry truck (1975 Crown 100' RM). My guess is that the Seagrave quint was the exception and that a dry truck is adequate. Just a guess, though.
