AFD is making the change to black gear like most of our local departments. Currenlty the probies fresh out of academy have new black gear and the rest of the members till have the lighter color stuff. You wouldn't happen to have a hosebed shot? Denver Metro Fire Apparatus - Guest - 10-26-2012
Great shots of Denver! You wouldn't happen to have a hosebed shot?
this is one of the last batch. Starting from the outside and working towards the center...Normally there will be a 200' 1.75 preconnect on one side of the bed and a 300' on the other. Some companies will have one bed of 3" and another of 2.5" and others will have two beds of 3". The companies that have the two beds of 3" normally put a static 2.5" in the middle of varying lengths (500' +/-100') Hope that helps. Denver Metro Fire Apparatus - chief60 - 10-26-2012 Thanks! that is what I was looking for. What is up with the extra back step?? i haven't seen that before.
Almost all the pumpers have it...it's really nice to have a lower step and a slightly larger amount of space to stand when loading hose and/or pulling lines off the rear. I'd love to see a lower bed height but this is definitely the standard in the DFD. Denver Metro Fire Apparatus - richie101 - 10-27-2012 No 5'' |
