Thanks, Juergen! This is another one I didn't know about. This means that HCC-72, HCC-77 and HCC-80 were all 84/92 cabs and went to Sutherlin, OR, LasVegas, NV, and Bostonia, CA. I just don't know which one is which. Now I just need to find a shot of the Fullerton, CA rig to see if it's a 84/92 or a 92.

Frank-Do you have anything on HCP12-188 (HCC-21-83) that went to Jackson Metal Products, HCP12-190 that went to Cohoes, NY, HCC-78 that went to Beck Fire Apparatus, or HCC-79 that went to FMC Fire Apparatus?

I forgot to mention, Fullerton CA is the Newer 94 cab. I can not shrink my larger photos due to computer issues!

I never did find out anything about the Jackson Metal products, This could have been a truck sold to them or it may have been a builder.

Jackson Metal Products was a body builder associated with Truck Power & Equipment out of Florida, best known for their "Equalizer" pumpers, built on Mack MS-200 chassis. That Hahn chassis could very well have ended up somewhere in Florida. Thanks for the info on the Fullerton rig. As soon as I find my notepad with all the 84/92 info on it, I'll give an updated count.

The Veterans Adminstration Hospital in Battle Creek, MI has a 1981 Hahn/Superior 1500/500

That should be a standard 84" cab. Hahn didn't begin producing the 84/92 cab until 1982. Regardless, I appreciate the info.

Quote:This is another Hahn original to IN. IT was bought new by Wayne Twp on Indianapolis Co.10 I think. In 2002 it was bought by Fruitdale FD in Brown County, near Nashville IN. It's a 1983 Hahn/1984 FMC 1250/750. Note the diamond plate cover for the pump controls. I also think it's cool that the twin beacon's have survived. biggrin.gif

Can anyone confirm that this rig carries Hahn chassis number HCC-79? According to the list I have, Hahn delivered only one chassis to FMC during 1983 (10-5-83). They delivered 9 during 1984.

Didn't Meshanticut's blue Hanh also later serve with the Community Fire Company in Thompson, CT or am I thinking of another rig?

Dave,

I found another Hahn 84/92 cab and chassis with Superior body. Calistoga/CA had a 1000 gpm-pumper with 1000 gallon-tank. A photo of it is on page 168 of the book " Volunteer & Rural Fire Apparatus Photo Gallery", written by Wayne Sorensen and Don Wood. The photo clearly shows, that it is a 84/92 cab.

Frank B,

Was Lilly's engine sold to Winburne Fire Co. in Clearfield County, PA.? There is no Centerfield County, and I've never heard of Wilburne. If it is Winburne, they must have purchased it recently as I was there in late 2007 to take pictures.

The Calistoga, CA rig carries Hahn chassis number HCC-81, but has Beck bodywork, not Superior. Thanks for the tip anyway. There may be another Hahn 84/92 Beck rig out there, HCC-78, but I haven't found it yet. Aside from that one, I have confirmed that there were at least 45 Hahn 84/92 cabs built.
