Highland Park, Texas DPS. An affluent area in the heart of Dallas. These guys/gals are cross-trained in Fire, Police, and EMS. This first rig is a 1948 ALF, 750-300, it was their second out engine/reserve.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

This was their backup ambulance. 1970's Chevy Suburban/Summers ambulance. It was a BLS unit just prior to them becoming an ALS service. Sorry about the photo quality.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

When they became an ALS service this ambulance was their first out unit. It is a 1970's Ford/Modular Corp. ambulance.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

Their first out engine at the time I shot these was this 1965 Mack C-85,1000-500.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

Next, I have University Park, Texas which is Highland Parks next door neighbor. Both these small communities have mutual aid agreements with Dallas. This first unit was a reserve engine, a 1948 ALF,750-300. One of a pair.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

Here is the twin. Same specs.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

Sorry, wrong photo. Here's the twin. The wrong rig you see belongs to Richardson, Texas, 1968 WLF,1000-500, 4-Engine.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

Next is a 1969 ALF,1000-500. It was their second out engine at the time.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

Their first out engine at the time was this 1976 ALF Century, 1000-500.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

Their Truck Co. was this 1969 ALF/Snorkel, 70 ft.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

Their ALS unit was this 1970's Ford/Modular Corp. ambulance.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

The 76 Century eventually was replaced as the first out engine with this 1982 Ford/E-One, 1000-500.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

Presently, they run these two rigs. First is a 1996 Spartan/Quality,1250/500.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

Second is this 1990 Spartan/Quality/LTI, 75ft/1500/300.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

Sorry again, I got the files mixed up. the previous engine is a 1984 E\-One Hurricane, 1250/500, Engine 2. belonging to Richardson. Here's the other UP rig.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 09-27-2007

Sorry, I have to end this brief post. I'll try to be a regular poster. Thank you to everyone who assisted me getting these pictures posted. Also, if anyone has any corrections, please let me know, as I want to have as up to date specs as possible. Thanks, Robert.

TEXAS RIGS - Bob-Ont - 09-27-2007
