Over the 100+ years of the Clinton, NJ Fire Dept, they have had many different ALF units.

First is LULABELLE a 1924 Engine. It was restored in the 1990's at the LaFrance Factury.

Clinton also operated a 1976 ALF Century pumper that is now in Virginia.

Next was a Century 2000 Engine that is still in service

The most recent Engine is a ALF Eagle that runs as 45-61. It replaced the ALF Centruy

Finally the last addition to Clinton is an ALF Eagle 100 foot Tower Ladder. This replaced a 75 foot Hahn Rearmount.

Also in Hunterdon County, NJ is the only City - Lambertville. Also a Department with over 100 years of operations...

Company 1 (of 4) use to operate a 1981 ALF Century Engine. The paint is Cream over Red to match an old 1924 Ahern Fox. The Fox is still running and used in parades. This 1981 ALF replaced a 1961 ALF Engine (900 Series) damaged in a fire - IN THE STATION.

American LaFrance Apparatus - Guest - 12-09-2007

Lambertville's Ladder Company sold its station and moved in to Station 1. They just took delivery of their NEW 2007 ALF Tower Ladder. in the move of Combining stations, the Ladder Company gave up its White paint job to match Company 1's apparatus.

Moving back north in Hunterdon County is High Bridge Fire Dept. They operate 2 ALF apparatus. First is an Open Semi Cab 900 or 1000 Series. It was built in the time the two cab styles were made...

Another North Hunterdon dept is Lebanon Borough. They have operated 3 ALF's since 1971.

First is a 900 Series that was loaded with some extras at teh factory.

The rig was referbed in the 80's with a Century cab and high side compartments.

American LaFrance Apparatus - Guest - 12-09-2007

Lebanon bought a mate in teh 80's of a 75 foot Water Chief. It was build for a city or town in Mexico and had Spanish labels... Some where still in the rig when sold to be replaced by a Seagrave Mean Stick.

This week a pumper lettered Clinton with Cincy cab and open jump seats appeared parked in front of our local Harley-Davidson dealer, Kosco of NJ Route 23, Kinnelon NJ. It bears an American logo plate on the front. Would it have been from Clinton NJ?

Where these part of that large order for Mexico City that ALF had built but were never delivered? I believe Cleveland also bought some of these units.

According to my ALF delivery list there were 25 units destined for Brazil. for whatever reason they didn't go there, and were sold off. 9 were Waterchief aerials, 8 100' and 1 75'. and there were 16 2000 GPM pumpers. Lebanon is the only one where I have confirmed delivery of an aerial.

this is the list I have. I have a conflict in the serial # of 2 of them, but I confirmed the South Brunswick rig when I shot it.
