To correct a previous post, there were 7 examples of the Ford C-1000/Young open-cab engines,

Clinton,MD. #64-79 (wrecked 1971), and #67-185

Sarah Zane FC,Winchester,VA., #67-192

Navy-Vale VFD,VA. #65-122

Herndon,VA., #68-216

Ridge-Culver,NY, #67-184 and #70-329

Thanks to Tom Shand's article in the May-June 1994 issue of FAJ!

Anyone know the whereabouts of the Herndon, VA. rig?

The Ford went way south (Dominican Republic around 1982-83) along with the 1962 Seagrave truck that was old Trk-2.

Scott, the Seagrave was Prince William County's that ran out of station 1 many moons ago before the City of Manassas seperated from the County. We (The Prince William Fire Union) repurchased the truck about 3 years ago and is stationed in our new Union hall.
