Here's an interesting one. For you mystery fans out there, try to figure out who built this one (I have a guess it was Rural/Metro's shops, but it's only a guess).

Here's one of Peoria's two identical 2003 Ford F-550/E-One brush trucks, brand new and unlettered.

Both are still in service at Brush's 196 and 199, but are nearing retirement. One will have the slide in module removed and put on a new chassis in the near future.

I doubt this unit is still in service

Definitely the R/MFD shops, probably 1989. Served in the old Batt.2 (East Mesa /Trail area) at Sta. 59.

Engine 199's rig has been ordered, and to correct what I wrote above, they're calling it a Type I-II-IIIx, since it is basically a Type IIIx with enough water, pump GPM and ladders to make it a Type Ix. So, it's sort of a hybrid.

**More info on this rig:

2013 Freightliner M2 4x4 4 door

Rosenbauer bodywork

Cummins ISC-350 with DPF/SCR

Allison 3000 EVS Transmission

Waterous CXK 1000 GPM pump

Waterous/Pneumax 140-SP CAFS Compressor

UPF Poly tank 750 water / 30 Foam

The drawings look pretty nice. Bumper mounted monitor, booster lines (1" x 100') recessed under the crew doors, full compliment of roof ladders (10' folding, 14' roof, 24' 2-section), (2) 1 3/4" 200' preconnects, (2) 2 1/2" x 200', 1000' of 4" supply line, hard suctions, diamond plate, hosebed covers i.e. CDF style, 28 degree front and 22 degree rear approach and departure angles.

Finally got the line art drawing of Engine 199 done. Here's the link.

Here are a few more from yesterday's hazmat exercise in Peoria.

Casa Grande, which is in Pinal County about 30 miles south of Phoenix on I-10, brought 2 rigs to play.

Engine 5011 (a reserve, I think) is a Pierce Saber

Casa Grande's Hazmat 504 is a Spartan/Hackney. It's pretty long...

Mesa brought their other Pierce Quantum Squad (heavy rescue) 206, but It wasn't in a position that I could shoot it. However, it looks identical to Squad 204 (posted yesterday).
