1998 or 1999 E\-One Hurricane HP-105

Prior to this purchase Ladder 3 was a 1979 Seagrave 100ft quint on the W cab. The Seagrave was later donated to Excelsor Springs MO Fire Department.

Runs from Fire House Two now it was moved from one's over a year ago

The 900 numbers are used because they are dispatched by the police department. However they continue to tradtional number the units.

1997 E\-One HP 75

Ladder 4 runs from Station One with Engine 5 Rescue Ambulance 6, 9 and the BC.

Prior to this quint purchase 904 was Engine 4 a 1980 Seagrave pump. The department wanted some diversity in the fleet of three engines so a quint was purchsed althought it is used as an engine since the Truck Company is Ladder 3.

Note the center red strobes where a federal cross fire normally would be. They are the opticom traffic signal changer lights. Very unique. This was also the only unit in Lenexa with a Federal Q2b siren for about ten years. They now have Q2b's again.

2005 Hieman Ford F-550

Great Story this unit was special purchased and was not speced by Olathe. Fire House Seven is now in perment quarters but for three years responded from a residental ranch style house. When they rented the house the owner and fire chief did not want to add a large bay with for an enigne company so the garage door was raised and the department went searching for a mini-pump. Hieman Fire Equipment built the unit and it served with a three person crew as Squad 7 (57) for three years. Now Fire House seven is open with Engine 7 (57) and the Squad has been moved to Fire House Three to be used a quick response crash unit for Johnson County Executive Airport and as a reserve brush buggy. Squad 3 (53) is cross staffed as needed by Quint 3 (53) or Inspector 1 (51) (24hr fire inspector/ safety officer).
