You can tell this was once a true orange Bmore rig. Relics - Guest - 10-14-2007 Shot # 9 Relics - Guest - 10-14-2007 Shot # 10 - last one Relics - Guest - 10-15-2007 This one started its career as Auburn Fire Depts. Rescue 1, it was then sold to the Sherriffs Office and used for the Dive team. And here it sits.. Relics - Guest - 10-15-2007
During a family trip to Scranton Pa. I came across this Ex- Syracuse, NY Heavy Rescue. It caught my eye last night one the way back from dinner and I did not take any pics because it was dark. I shot these at 7am this morning on the way out of town to head home. It appears to be for sale at a used heavy truck dealer that is also a scrap yard (Which are everywhere in Scranton). The yard was not open so I shot them through the fence.
That place is called Boot's and Hanks. There is another Syracuse peice in the I belive it is an E\-One/spartan squrt either E8 or E9. there are a few more pieces in there. And as far as scrap yards every where, that is very true. Relics - rockygene - 10-17-2007 Unknown Maxim......very sad shape. Pictures were sent courtesy of Rob Kemp in Nova Scotia, Canada. He found this truck in the lot of a construction company. Would anyone possibly have any idea where this truck originated from? Relics - GA_Dave - 10-17-2007 Quote:Would anyone possibly have any idea where this truck originated from? Middleboro, Mass................ <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Sorry! Actually, it appears very similar to a late 1940's Maxim that went to Strasburg, OH. Relics - Guest - 10-19-2007 This is a sad looking 1946 Dodge. I'm told it was built as an ambulance, then converted to haul equipment for a Fire Department. We think ??? it came out of McHenry County IL. Does anyone know this truck or know the body builder. The truck needs to be saved if anyone is interested it's near Madison WI and I can provide information. Let me know what you all think!! THANKS, Nollie Relics - tcosgrovejones - 10-21-2007 Here are some I saw today. A 4x4 Big Job Ford Maxim from Vienna Va then Nanjamoy Md. And a ALF From Salusbury , MD Cosgr <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/stirpot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ve Relics - tcosgrovejones - 10-21-2007 Finally a IH Panel Truck that was a Rescue Truck from the Arnold MD VFD Cosgr <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/stirpot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ve Relics - marco17 - 10-21-2007
Last Friday in south Baltimore City I rode by Dickman Street to get some last few shots of some of Baltimore's last few remaining old original white and orange apparatus that had been repainted. Three of them were repainted red and only one of them stayed orange its whole life. I can still remember when they were all orange. The four rigs were: Reserve Engine 70 (116) 1987/2002 Rehab Spartan Monarch/FMC 1000gpm/750gwt ex Engine 44 "Roland Park" Reserve Truck 32 (367) 1988/2004 Repaint Seagrave WR 100' RM LoP ex Truck 26 "Gardenville" Reserve Truck 33 (332) 1987 Spartan Monarch/LTI 110' TDA ex Truck 3 "Fells Point" Reserve Truck 39 (315) 1978/'98 Flamesco Rehab Seagrave PT 100' TDA ex Truck 20 "Highlandtown"
Hey guys, maybe this has been asked before, but how does Baltimore dispose of their surplus apparatus? Auction, dealer, scrap it? Just curious since many municipalities seem to have a different method when it comes to disposition. Thanks. Relics - tcosgrovejones - 10-21-2007 I lied <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> One more the former Water Witch ALF Ladder Truck Cosgr <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/stirpot.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> ve Relics - Guest - 10-22-2007 That's such a shame about the old Water Witch ladder truck. In it's day it was such a beautiful rig. I remember when the Arundel rescue was still in service too.
