Engines were both 1968 Mack R 1000 GPMs and Ladder 14 1966 Mack C/Baker 75-foot aerial tower. Growing up in St. Louis I remember these old Mack R's they were something. What was the deciding factor(s) to not use the Snozzle now, and where did it end up, it's only a couple of years old isn't it? Trav! Trav![/quote] I am not sure why the switch but the Snozzle is now running as Engine 3. The only thing that I can think of is that with Station 1 having Truck 1 already there the department wanted to have a raise able type unit in that area. Station 3 up till a couple of years ago had a truck company but when the department decided to move CBRNE 8 to Station 3 and reassigned it as CBRNE 3 they moved Truck 3 to Station 8 and reassigned it Truck 8. I know that that area has a lot of commercial buildings including 3 Casinos. The closest Truck Company is Truck 1 out of Station 1 and the next is out of Station 6. But this is only guessing I will see if I can find out.
