Southern California Small cities - Guest - 12-25-2015 Former Lynwood FD Engine 32 After Lynwood contracted LACoFD for fire protection about 15 years ago, the County did not take this in the deal, and Lynwood sold it to neighboring Compton as a reserve. Former Lynwood FD Engine 31 This rig was retained by the LACoFD and was assigned to former FS 32 as LACoFD Engine 148. Former Lynwood station 31 renumbered to LACoFD FS 147 and LFD FS 32 became LACoFD 148. Lynwood's Truck Company had an elderly Crown Snorkle and was given to Compton FD for their Training Academy My Collection Photos by Robert Navarro Southern California Small cities - iaff5045 - 12-26-2015 I can't believe they weren't fond of the Tower ladder, those Mack aerialscopes were icons and very reliable. Station renumbering was as follows Station 31 became Station 105 Station 32 became Station 106 Station 33 became Station 107. Reserve apparatus were assigned 700 series numbering. ie, Engine 705 would be the reserve engine at Station 105, Engine 707 would be out of Station 107. Hope that helps.
