terry, are you sure that tiller is for anaheim ca, I live in fullerton just north of anaheim, there city has saulsbury rigs and all 5 of their current trucks are quints, they use them quite extensivly alot as engines. seems odd they would buy a straight tiller with no pump

Pennsylvania Fire/EMS Apparatus - dawson_fire - 04-07-2007

I did not go to Millersville, was there last year. As for the tiller the tag in the windshield said "Anaheim,Ca" so that was my take on it,sorry I don't know more.

Blue Ball's brush truck was this Dodge/Hammerly 400gpm 350gal.The chassis had 1977 on it but the body had 1973 so maybe someone(Bruce) might know for sure. All capacities given were by a company member and don't seem quite right but all I have.Job# MP-1347.

The Mack Engine 63-2 is the "Foam Tender" it is still in service just not at there fire house right now due to the fact that there New Tower is there and the Old Ladder are there, just is not enough room for every thing that being 3 Engines 2 Trucks a Squad and a Foam Trailer.

Terry,

This is what I have on Blue Ball's Dodge PW:

1976 Dodge Power Wagon 300/Hamerly, mini-pumper, 400/300/15, 4X4, 4000 lb. winch. Originally purchased by Durlach & Mt. Airy Fire Company (Lancaster County), it was sold to Blue Ball Fire Company (Lancaster County) in 1989.

terry, you are correct, i did some checking and anaheim has ordered 4 of those tiller ladders. i guess they are getting away from the quint concept. they also just took delivery of a light/air unit

Pennsylvania Fire/EMS Apparatus - dawson_fire - 04-10-2007

I'm going to finish this thread up this evening with a couple of trucks from the Twin Valley Fire Co.with the first being this 1936 Ford/Locally built 500gpm pumper which was refurbed in 1996 and ran out of the Elverson station.

This is a thread for Pennsylvania rigs that are offbeat, "one-off", small or unusual manufacturer, or rebuilt from their original configuration.

For something new, here is a big tanker with a heavy truck chassis that has not been seen much:

For something older here is a manufacturer that is rarely seen in PA.

Any Midwest buffs recognize this?
