NYPD - Guest - 04-02-2013 Quote:Model years should be 1968 Plymouth and 1966 ChevroletThanks for the info! NYPD - Guest - 04-02-2013 Quote:For??? lol smaller esu units?? Maybe getting away from the Ford F550 for the REP trucks. I know the newer Fords are real tight in the engine compartment, maybe too small for mechanics to quickly repair any problems that come up. Some of these trucks and RMPs for that matter run 24/7 for weeks on end. Right now my command only has 1 van and two RMP's in service, with another van and RMP in the shops. The three units in service have run non stop for the last two weeks. NYPD - Guest - 04-03-2013 The IH 4400 chassis AKA "DuraStar" is much larger than an Ford F-550. Also, I just checked Ferrera in production list and see nothing for NYPD or any law enforcement agaency. Lots of FDNY rigs in production. Here are some links: http://www.ferrarafire.com/CustomerSupport/InProduction/InProduction.html http://www.internationaltrucks.com/trucks/trucks/series/durastar Attached are photos of both the IH 4400 and the Ford F550 chassis Now the question is.........What are they going to be used for?
