And thanks for sharing!

Thought about this on the drive into work today. How about this:

A.) Replacement for the Air Bag truck

B.) Replacement for the Construction Accident Vehicle

Happy weekend!

Are the air bag trucks the nypd trucks that look the the fdny tsu??

I *think* air bags are carried on the TSU's.

This was featured on A&E's "Investigative Reports" where they showed a jumper up and used a large net carried on the TSU, and I *think* they mentioned they carried air bags as well.

But I would think a dedicated box type truck would be needed for the larger jumper bags, like the truck featured on "Cops" many years ago.

Although two(?) of the bodies kind of look like this: http://www.odysseyauto.com/vehicles/rescue/city_hd_esu/slides/slides/p_0008.jpg

Prototype?

Can't wait until the speculation ends, lol!

They are the new Tac units per a NYPD ESU Commander whom name I forgot.

On an unrelated note:

I was there early, and know a lot of other members attended as well and stayed later then I did, so there should be plenty of photos.

Man those boxy Caprices were some of my all-time favorite police cars.  Looks great!
