Curved pump panel, a Hamerly trademark. The idea was that the operator could reach all the controls standing in one spot.

I wonder if Middletown, NY still has this wonderful American LaFrance pumper? Bill Schwartz pic/Mattson Collection <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/usa.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Usa' />

Amboy, WA had this pretty-rare 1967 4x4 GMC/Hahn 750/500 pumper. Commerical chassied Hahns were not all that common in the northeast. Very strange to see that this Jimmy made it all the way to Washington. Mattson Collection <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/usa.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Usa' />

THINGS FROM MY COLLECTION - Guest - 04-01-2012

Walla Walla, WA Engine # 44 was this 1959 FWD/Western States 6x6 750/1000 pumper. The flotation tires on the rear tandems looks cool. Mattson Collection <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/usa.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Usa' />

Last for this early spring evening will be this wonderful 1958 Mack B/Heiser 1500/200 pumper that served Seattle, WA. Seattle had several of these pumpers that were powered by some big Hall-Scott gas engines, hence, the longer hoods. Mattson Collection <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/usa.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Usa' />

I should have more in a bit. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />
