I went through an old photo album and scanned some apparatus photos I took when I was an Explorer, Volunteer and when I first started dispatching...

 

First up is Littleton Battalion 1, this unit was later fitted with a telescoping traffic light bar and is now a reserve.

Littleton Squad 12 - This unit has seen various assignments over the years.  First as Paramedic Rescue 11, then Technical Rescue Squad 12 & 14, it now serves as a rehab and air/light unit.

Littleton Squirt 327 - 1983 Pierce Arrow which served as Squirt 12 from 1983-1998 and again in frontline service from 2004-2005.  It was retired in 2008 and sold to the Saguache Fire District in southwestern Colorado.

From my explorer days with Castle Rock - Battalion Chief 151's Ford Bronco with "NASCAR" numbers on the side.

Castle Rock Brush 151 - 1998 Ford F-550 with a 250 gallon water tank on a skid unit.  It was later re-built for wildland deployment before being retired.

Castle Rock Heavy Rescue 151 - 1998 HME Centurion / Central States with a 550 gallon water tank, 25 gal class A, 25 gal class B and a 1,250 gpm rear mounted pump.  Poly Tank had this unit pictured on their ads for having the 1,000th? tank made by their company installed.  The unit first went in service as Squad 152, then HR151 and now serves as Haz-Mat 155

One of the brush rigs when I started volunteering - Franktown Brush 189 which was assigned to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office by the State Forest Service and given to Franktown to staff when needed.  FFPD retired it in 2004

Retired South Metro Engine 33 - This was a 1986 Spartan / General and began its life with the Cherry Hills Fire District as an open cab.  It was refurbished in the early 90's with an enclosed cab after Castlewood took over Cherry Hills.  It was assigned to E34 & E33 before being placed in reserve status and sold in 2001.

The primary engine when I started at Franktown - 1991 Autocar / Ferrara with a 1,000 gallon tank and a 1,500 gpm pump.  This rig would really get up to speed on the open highways.  It's now the primary district reserve and housed at Station 183.

Larkspur Engine 161 - 1998 Freightliner / Smeal with a 1,000 gallon tank & 1,500 gpm pump.  Smeal featured this one on some magazine ads when it was new.
