I don't think you would want a crew coming to save your butt that thinks they are average or even below average. F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 11-28-2007 Here's one of the newest rigs to join the vast fleet in service. Taken at the rock while there for Haz-mat Level A training. F.D.N.Y. - EMTChris67 - 11-28-2007 first off i want to thank crossbronx for his hospitality last night, it was a pleasure to meet you and i had a great time as well, remember when you are in the area let me know and i will return the favor, and here are a couple of pix that i caught, first up was battalion 7 F.D.N.Y. - EMTChris67 - 11-28-2007 and division 1 chief F.D.N.Y. - EMTChris67 - 11-28-2007 and last but not least Squad 18, ed didnt even see it there but dont tell him i told you folks <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> F.D.N.Y. - mmwolf65 - 11-28-2007
That's pretty much what it is. It will be replacing the manifold/hosewagon at Engine 329. It has no pumping capability, numerous discharge gates and will be stocked with 4 1/2 supply line. F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 11-29-2007 This is only a panel for the deluge gun and a discharge gate. F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 11-29-2007 And here is the rear dischage gates, with the hosebed right above. Hope you guys had a safe trip back this morning. I had a good time at Rory's with you guys!
Marc, I had a great time as well. Since Coopers in Queens is gone (well, new owners and name anyway), Rory's might become a regular spot for me. The fire was a 1 apartment fire, and we didn't see anything from the street. It was about an hour after we left you. The job was at 312 W 23rd St, and I was at the West Side Highway and W 48th when they hit the 10-75. We got in about 4 minutes later....beat the Rescue, Squad (so much so I didn't even realize they were there), and Engine 34. I know some people LOVE their Quantums, but I think it's a face only the Pierce engineers who designed it could love, and I look at it as the Continental Compac of the 21st Century. The Continental Compac was extremely blah. The Quantum is actively FUGLY! F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 11-30-2007 Sorry I have to say this but I have a soft spot for the Continental Compac's I loved them when Yonkers had them it was like a Toyota of fire engines. I would love to get one and restore it. But none are left. |
