Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-15-2012 The rescue in Sooke uses a 2003 Freightliner chassis and has a remounted body from a 1975 Swab Wagon built rescue. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-15-2012 This is a photo of the 1975 Swab Mack MB rescue that provided the body for the current rescue. This truck formerly operated in Moorestown, New Jersey, but was repainted from it's orginal blue/white paint scheme before placed in service in Sooke. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-15-2012 Tanker # 202 is another remounted body from an earlier Sooke apparatus. T- 202 is a 2001 FL 70 with 250/1400 specs. Canada Eh? - Guest - 02-15-2012 Here is a photo of the earlier tanker, and is a tribute to what departments with limited budgets can do to carry on providing their communities with updated apparatus. Canada Eh? - Big Dave - 03-06-2012 Classic Fire and Vapour Suppression of Weyburn, Saskatchewan operates this 2009 Green Acres/Western Star industrial rig. 1500/1000/60 Class "B" foam. Canada Eh? - Big Dave - 03-07-2012 Dawn Euphemia Township in Ontario will soon be putting this 2012 Fort Garry Fire Trucks/International 4400 pumper into service. It has the following capacities: 1050/800/25. The crew cab area has a unique configuration which will follow. Canada Eh? - Big Dave - 03-07-2012 looking inside the crew cab area, please notice the two facing seats for the crew plus the pedestal seat (without back) for the pump operator. It is my understanding that this POC department has several older members who wanted to be able to sit down during extended operations. Canada Eh? - countryboy88 - 03-07-2012 Thats a great idea old or not sometimes you just need to take a break and sit down. Wonder if any other departments will adopt the seat? Canada Eh? - Guest - 03-08-2012 The 1975 Swab Mack MB rescue while in service with the Moorestown Emergency Squad Canada Eh? - atlanticfiretrucks - 03-10-2012 Halifax NS new Engine 2 2011 Spartan Metrostar/Carl Thibault 1250/500 Halifax Shop ID 11-528E Canada Eh? - atlanticfiretrucks - 03-11-2012 Tatamagouche, NS Antique/Parade Unit 1944 Seagrave 66-E Possibly Serial # 2826 6046 C-3488 ex: Royal Canadian Navy(Dartmouth, NS). then Royal Canadian Navy(Halifax, NS) Canada Eh? - Guest - 03-17-2012 The City of Surrey is located south and east of Vancouver, and is the second largest city by population in B.C. I have scanned some of their current in service apparatus as well as some of their rigs from earlier times. Surrey recently placed a bunch of Smeal built apparatus in service. E-13 is one of the new Smeal Spartan Gladiator engines and has a 1500 GPM pump, 500 gallon water tank and 25 gallon foam tank. Canada Eh? - Guest - 03-17-2012 Engine 6 in Surrey also recieved one of the new apparatus and has the same specs as the previous post. Canada Eh? - Guest - 03-17-2012 Surrey covers over 120 square miles and is slowly switching their outlying volly fire halls to fully manned halls. Hall 14 is located in the far south east part of the city and runs this 2010 Smeal Spartan Gladiator 1250/500/25 engine sa the first out apparatus. Canada Eh? - Guest - 03-17-2012 Surrey runs several engines that are dispatched as rescues and R-2 operates with this 2008 Smeal Spartan Diamond with 1250/500/25 specs. Canada Eh? - Guest - 03-17-2012 Engine 8 in Surrey is this 2006 Smeal Spartan Gladiator with 1500GPM pump,500 gallon water tank and 25 gallon foam tank. Canada Eh? - Guest - 03-17-2012 Surrey uses several Smeal built Quints for their ladder companies. Quint 5 is a 2008 Smeal Spartan Gladiator with a 1750 GPM pump, 500 gallon water tank, 25 gallon foam tank, and 75' ladder. Canada Eh? - Guest - 03-17-2012 The newest aerial device on the Surrey roster is Tower 1, a 2008 Smeal Spartan Gladiator with 1500 GPM pump, 500 gallon water tank, 20 gallon foam tank and 85' ladder tower. Canada Eh? - Guest - 03-17-2012 Quint 4 in Surrey is of the same specs as the previous quint but was delivered in 2004. Canada Eh? - Guest - 03-17-2012 A few years ago Surrey operated a number of fire halls with two engines in them. They were called and dispatched as pumpers and hose/pumps, with the second out piece, the hose/pump, operated by the volly crew. When photographed, this truck was dispatched as Pump 15, and is a 1998 Superior Freightliner FLL with a 1250 GPM pump 450 gallon water tank and 54' elevated device. As a side note, at one time,Surrey utilized the Freightliner FLL/ FLA chassis for much of their fleet . |
